1968 Mustang California Special - GT/CS Replica
This is a 1968 Mustang GT/CS replica “restomod”. It was restored and modified to resemble one of the 4,118 1968 Mustang GT/CS’ built as a limited, five month production run from February to August 1968.
Originally designed as a Shelby GT500 coupe, the GT/CS was created to give California Ford dealers a unique Mustang for their inventory. It has since become very collectible.
This GT/CS replica has only 50 miles on the odometer since its restoration and features a fully restored C code 2 bbl 289 V8 and C4 automatic transmission. It includes power steering, AM/FM radio, a console, and custom blue/white interior. New factory Acapulco Blue paint adorns the exterior, paired with a fresh white vinyl top. The GT/CS modifications include; California Special tail light assembly, stripes, badging, wheels, scoops, deck lid, and tail lights.
