1971 Mustang convertible
This is a 71 Mustang convertible that's undergone a moderate amount of work and has been sufficiently maintained. According to the current owner, the Mustang has never been in an accident and there is no rust other than the occasional surface rust that is typical of an old Mustang.
If you're looking for an inexpensive entry level Mustang convertible, this would make a nice weekend toy and leisure project. While it is showing its age and needs restoration, it runs and drives well and has been recently used as a daily driver.
The original color was blue, but the previous owner painted the Mustang black which has oxidized to a flat finish. He also upgraded with dual exhausts from the manifold to the tail pipes, put in a new carburetor and all new gaskets from the heads up and installed new electric window switches. The rear seat is in good condition, but the front upholstery needs replacement. The instruments all work with the exception of the fuel level gauge. The convertible top is 8-10 years old and will keep you dry in the rain, but it has developed a minor seam split. The body is straight.
This is a vintage car from the classic Mustang generation that you can drive today and restore at your leisure. The vehicle is located in Northern California.
